Mission and Vision Statement for HeardSong Productions LLC

HSP’s mission is threefold:

To preserve, present, and promote the historic sacred music of the African American worship experience, an eclectic array of hymns, spirituals, gospel music, inspirational songs, and anthems created by Black composers and compositions integrated from a range of Christian traditions.
To share the gospel message of a God who is faithful and merciful, a Savior, Jesus the Christ, who reconciles, redeems, and resides with us, and the Holy Spirit who empowers, illumines, and guides the believer.
To encourage, strengthen, and provide solace to the listener through the powerful soul-stirring medium of music ministry: faith filled lyrics, melodious solo, choral, and congregational voices, together with instruments of praise, expressed in Spirit filled worship settings.

Along with this trilogy of historical treasures, Heard has vision for additional Volumes in the Songs from the Sanctuary series under the themes of Christmas, The Funeral Songs, Communion & Christ’s Passion, and The Music of the Main-Line Churches - Baptist, Methodist, and C.O.G.I.C. (Church of God In Christ/Pentecostal).

Further vision includes production of sacred selections composed and arranged by William N. Heard fusing styles of gospel music, the spirituals, jazz, R&B, pop, rock, funk, hip-hop, Calypso, and hymns of the church. The first project in this series of productions entitled “Love Like This!” is marked by a more urban flavor chronicling over four decades of ministry performance, research, and music collaboration in sacred and secular spheres.
